Somebody’s pretty proud of his first chicken-catch.

We brought our day old Buckeye chicks home last week and immediately noticed their super feisty spirits, which made me love them even more. They were definitely more active than the Black Copper Maran chicks we brought home the week before and even though they were about half the size they could definitely hold their own with the older ones.

Of course we had to get some photos of our new little ladies:

What the heck is happening here?

Our chicken adventure continues!

It’s finally time!

I’ve been sitting on this beautiful new logo and I’m beyond excited that it’s finally time to show it to the world! I went to my favorite local designers, Scott and Jacqui, of Slide Sideways and told them that I needed to update my branding. I collected some inspiration and gave it to them, but pretty much just told them “FUN! I want something FUN!” and their genius minds created this dreamy little piece of artwork that is completely perfect for me.

This rebrand really spoke to the magic that happens when you let people do what they do best. I created the old logo that I used for the past year or so and it did its job, but it definitely wasn’t anything spectacular, and really didn’t do a great job of conveying who I am and what my photography is all about. Once I handed the rebrand off to Scott and Jacqui they took off with it and elevated it to a level that I NEVER would have gotten to by myself. Having a clear vision and design to pull from also made putting together the website so much easier and more fun for me and I can’t wait for everything else to come together, too.

This is an exciting time for me and I couldn’t be happier to jump into my second year of shooting here in Tacoma (and head back to Minnesota a few times, too!). I already have the best clients in the entire world who make me want to push my photography even more and continue to meet new people that connect with my imagery and really GET what I want to do. What’s better than that?! I’m living my dream and am so thankful that you’re here sharing it with me.

I’d love for you to click around the new site, add our RSS to your feed reader, check out Scott and Jacqui’s other work and their etsy shop, and let me know what you think in the comments below!
