Lana was one of the very first people I met when I got to Tacoma, and we all actually lived together for the first few months I was here. Since I grew up with a giant family I think that constantly having people around, especially Lana’s awesome girls, provided me with a certain comfort level that I probably wouldn’t have had without them. Lana and I use to laugh over coffee every morning and then most days Hailee and I would hang out while everyone else was gone.
I’m so happy that Lana, JT, Lindsey, and Hailee are part of my life here in Tacoma and am super excited to hang out with Lindsey and Hailee all day tomorrow!
Tonight, though… a little love via Lana + JT. Enjoy the moments!

Krista and I haven’t known each other for that long, but she quickly became one of my favorite people in the world while we were road tripping to Austin in an RV for SXSW:
Krista and I pretty much laughed our faces off the entire time, and she was also 1/3 of our electric trio that got caught stealing power from a mental institution. Throughout our SXSW adventures Krista kept referring to this mysterious Ben creature, and she always had a giant smile on her face when she was talking about him. Apparently Ben enjoys Krista rad smile, too, because he asked her to marry him a couple months ago and I was super excited when she asked if I would capture some engagement photos for them.
We met up at Lake Harriet only an hour after I got back from my road trip to the east coast, and it was an awesome way to be welcomed back to the homeland.
As I was driving up to the band shell on Lake Harriet I noticed that no one was around the picnic area at the bottom of the hill and the light looked amazing, so we decided to start there:
We soon realized that there was a reason no one was there. It was infested by swarms and swarms of pterodactyls gnats, so we ran for our lives out onto the docks:
I informed them that under no circumstances were they to create a hand heart, but Krista couldn’t resist:
Then we went to the beach where Ben showed off his sweet skillz:
And we bogarted the lifeguard’s digs:
As we walked to the Rose Gardens the sun was just setting below the trees and gave us the most delicious light:
Thanks so much for letting me steal some adorable moments for you guys! I’m so excited for your move to Austin, and can’t wait to see where it takes you!
